UPPERCUT

Mike Tyus served as Choreographer for Uppercut, the feature film written and directed by Torsten Ruether and starring Ving Rhames and Luise Großmann.

Set within the world of boxing, Uppercut follows Toni, an ambitious young fighter who seeks training from former boxing champion Elliott Duffond. Their unlikely relationship becomes the foundation for a story about discipline, resilience, ambition, and the ways physical training can transform a life.

Tyus developed choreography for the film, bringing his understanding of physical storytelling and movement for camera into a narrative feature-film environment.
