Set within an expansive desert landscape, the film follows Mike Tyus and Max Cookward through a physical process of preparation and transformation. Rigorous movement gradually gives way to softness, asking what becomes possible when strength is found not through force, but through release.

Created collaboratively by Mike Tyus, Luca Francesco Renzi, and Max Cookward, Soft Life continues Tyus’ exploration of masculinity, physical endurance, intimacy, and the body on film.
