Set against the streets of Los Angeles, the film moves between magical realism and live-action cartoon logic, following Noname through a world of animal transformations, handmade costumes, playful confrontation, and dance. Tyus created the choreography for dancers Lucas DeBiasi and Marco Palomino, using movement to heighten the film’s strange, joyful physicality and bring its fantastical characters to life.
