ACTS OF FAITH
Acts of Faith is an evening length performance work created by Mike Tyus & Co. for Kunsthaus LA, an artist-led space founded by Isabella Caso inside the working Los Angeles home of Bruder Toys.
For the project, an active toy factory was transformed into a large-scale performance environment. Through choreography, lighting, sound, and installation, Tyus and the Kunsthaus team turned the industrial space into a temporary cultural venue for hundreds of audience members.
The work examines belief as a physical act, exploring ritual, devotion, masculinity, power, and transcendence. Moving between dance, installation, and performance art, Acts of Faith asks what can happen when an unexpected space is transformed into a place for gathering, experimentation, and collective experience.
